What Progress has been made thus far?
With the money raised from the 2007 CD release concert, Omega Kids sent 11,000 dollars over to help start funding the ground breaking on the land. Today there is a fence that runs along the 4 ½ acre property, there are over 500 tress planted (apple, oranges, mango, and various other indigenous trees). An underground water system is in place for agricultural use etc.
Who lives on the land?
Patrick and Justin who were previously addicted to sniffing glue and lived on the street finding shelter in cracks of buildings. Presently Justin and Patrick live sustainable off the land by their garden, and have a temporary tin shelter with their own bed! Did we forget to mention that they are off of glue? This is a wonderful transformation!
