About the Music Department (Worship Guild)
Aida Yabut
Aida Yabut was born in the bustling city of Manhattan, New York. Her father’s Filipino heritage gifted him with musical talent that accompanied her mother’s lyrical Puerto Rican voice beautifully. Aida started singing at the age of four, and was brought up in a sweet church body, which taught her about the love of God. As the years progressed, so did her passion for worship through music. She developed her skills at playing the violin, piano, acting, directing drama and musical productions and acting in commercials and film. She took her talents to Mexico on her first “Missions” trip where her life changed forever.  Understanding that learning English could be a help to many in their endeavor to rise above poverty, she earned her Masters degree in teaching English as a second language.  She shared her way of instructing and developed a curriculum for teaching English that is now being used in Rwanda, the Congo, other countries in Africa and is in the process of being used in Viet Nam as well. Aida’s sole focus in life has always been to use her talents to inspire others to learn, love and enter the presence of God Almighty.

Mark W. Ranck
Mark W. Ranck was born in Williamsport, PA. He grew up with his mom and dad playing the guitar and singing country music and old gospel hymns.  Little Marky spent many hours playing the organ with his grandfather, and at the age of twelve his talent was premiered behind the organ of a little country church not far from his home. His innocent interest in music gave way to an insatiable obsession; it wasn’t long before he realized music would be his life. Throughout his teen years Mark could never be satisfied with the normal work-a-day world; he chose a different road; the road of a professional musician. He perfected his skills as a composer, singer, pianist, guitarist and trumpeter while performing in various venues all over the United States; but his dreams of fulfillment in musicianship left him with the dry reality of intense emptiness. Finally in 1992, he realized that the only way to fill the void in his soul was to accept his need for God and turn his life over to Jesus Christ. His passion for worship grew as his love for Christ deepened. In 1996 he was ushered into the world of passionate worship and has since found himself continually leading others to the throne of God—through music.
